High Speed Packet Access
HSPA provides vastly improved speeds for bandwidth-intensive applications, along with improved network performance, shorter transmission time and constant evolution. Watch this video to find out how it can benefit you.
SPOTLIGHT
Ericsson senior research engineer Fredrik Athley contributed to this volume covering methodological and theoretical advances over the last 20 years in high-resolution and robust signal processing. Applications-grounded, this sophisticated resource links theoretical background with high-resolution methods used in wireless communications, brain signal analysis, and space-time radar signal processing.
Kumar Balachandran and Rajaram Ramesh co-authored the chapter, “Wireless Network Deployments” in this volume. Part one of the book is an overview of systems design and engineering integration, comparison of polarization and space diversity antenna systems, and the performance of deploying smart antenna architectures in cellular and PCS networks. The second part addresses deployment of CDMA networks, based on IS-95 standards.
With contributor Erik Larsson of Ericsson, this book presents an up-to-date view of research and describes recent methods and software tools developed in system identification. It offers a fresh look at such topics as time and frequency domain optimal statistical approaches to identification; and parametric identification for linear, nonlinear and stochastic systems.
Ericsson Senior Research Engineer David Astely contributes the chapter, “Spatiotemporal Interference Rejection Combining” to this comprehensive review and an extensive analysis of recent progress new in almost all fields of smart antennas and MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) transmission.
With interoperability, performance and fixed mobile convergence, MMTel (multimedia telephony) has become the standardized solution for offering VoIP-based telephony-grade and multimedia services. Accordingly, it gives operators a way of offering communications services that more clearly cater to consumers’ needs. Read the White Paper about the MMTel standard.
Recent research and developments have proven that digital power and power management could significantly improve the performance and power consumption of modern power supplies. The BMR453 DC/DC converter recently released by Ericsson Power Modules is the first commercial product based on such technology, able to efficiently power systems from telecom equipment to modern lighting.
